Summary
Residents Are Usually Not Very Comfortable When They Begin Their Journey Into Retinal Diseases. a Resident Is Expected to Be Proficient in a Range of Retinal Investigations and Also Basic Clinical Skills. the Instruction Course Will Give Essential Knowledge, and Tips and Tricks for Clinical Skills by Video Demonstrations and Interactive Case Presentations. Besides Covering the Basics Of, It Will Cover Modern Imaging Techniques. by the End of the Course, the Resident Will Identify Normal Retinal Anatomy and Will Be Confident in Evaluating Common Retinal Disorders. 1. Identifying Anatomical Landmarks and Retinal Zones; Tips and Tricks of Ophthalmoscopy 15 Min 2. reading an Oct Scan 12min 3. interpretation of Fundus Fluorescein Angiography 12 Min 4. multimodal Imaging: Need of the Day 12 Min 5. common Retinal Conditions & Their Interpretation(interactive) 15min
Resume
The chief instructor has more than 25 years of experience in ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (FAMS). She has done her post-graduation from a premier institute of the country and is currently heading the Retina services of a prestigious medical college. The fellowship abroad under the Master's in retina helped to enhance her skills in managing retinal diseases and retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). She has 85 research publications ; 18 book chapters. She has more than 160 guest lectures and several oral presentations.
