Summary
Dry Eye Disease (Ded) Is a Dynamic Condition with Evolving Understanding—from the 1990s Nei/industry Workshop to the Extensive 2025 Dry Eyeworkshop(dews) Iii Guidelines. While These Guidelines Provide In-depth Knowledge, Their Complexity Can Be Daunting for General Ophthalmologists. We Aim to Provide Concise Overview of the Progression in Understanding Dry Eye Disease, from Early Consensus to the Latest Global Guidelines; Simplify Diagnostic Criteria with Practical Tools for the General Ophthalmologist; Differentiate Overlapping Symptoms of Asthenopia to Avoid Misdiagnosis and Mistreatment; Provide Evidence-based Management Strategies; and Understanding the Impact of Adnexal and Lid Pathology in Ded and Adopting Simple Interventions Like Punctual Plugs/cautery. the Course Is Designed to Equip Participants with the Confidence and Clarity to Diagnose, Classify, and Manage Ded Effectively, Aligning with Global, Evidence-based Consensus Recommendations.

The Chief Instructor is a fellowship-trained cornea specialist with over 25 years of post-fellowship experience. He currently serves as a senior ophthalmologist at tertiary eye care institute. With his extensive expertise, he has led institutional initiatives in Dry Eye Disease management: protocol development, clinical implementation, and patient education. He has authored multiple research publications on Dry Eye Disease in peer-reviewed journals such as .the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology and Cornea. He has been recognised with several research awards at national and international forums.
