Summary
Main Objective Is to Educate Pgs and Gps Regarding Management of Dr and Help Them, Contribute Towards Prevention of Blindness Due to Dr. Patients with Pdr and Dme Associated with Deranged Systemic Parameters. Details Will Be Presented. Clinical Presentation and Classification, Especially, Various Grades of Dr Will Be Shown, so That Audience Can Orient for an Appropriate Clinical Staging. Role of Diagnostic Modalities in Various Grades of Dr Will Be Dealt With. Clinical Examples to Help Attendees, Identifying Various Biomarkers and Counsel for Prognosis. Prp Is the Standard of Care for Pdr. the Procedure, Complications, Follow-up and Supplemental Photocoagulation Will Be Discussed. Role of Anti Vegfs and Steroids Will Be Detailed Along with Pros and Cons. Surgery Is an Option for Advanced Pdr and Recalcitrant Dme. Results and Beneficial Effects of Surgery Will Be Discussed. by the End of the Ic, the Delegates Will Be Confident in Management of Dr at a Peripheral Center.

The Chief instructor is a senior vitreo-retinal surgeon from south India, with more than 30 years experience in the area of vitreo-retina diseases. He has wide experience in Diabetic Retinopathy and its management at various stages. He has conducted Instruction courses at AIOS in the previous years and the ICs were well attended and appreciated. He has more than 60 peer reviewed publications to his credit. He has more than 450 presentations at both national and international fora. He has been office bearer for several societies.
