Title: Decoding Pachychoroid Spectrum: Imaging Insights and Management Strategies
Summary
As Our Grasp of the Choroidal Pathology Has Evolved, the Spectrum of Pachychoroid Diseases Has Broadened Significantly. Initially Defined by the Common Feature of Choroidal Thickening, This Spectrum Now Includes a Variety of Conditions Such as Pachychoroid Pigment Epitheliopathy, Cscr, Focal Choroidal Excavations, Peripapillary Pachychoroid Syndrome, Pachychoroid Neovasculopathy, and Polypoidal Choroidal Vasculopathy. Recent Advancements in Imaging Technologies, Such as Icga, Dfa, Ss-oct, En-face Oct, and Octa, Have Greatly Enhanced Our Ability to Differentiate and Understand These Conditions. This Course Will Provide a Comprehensive Overview of the Pachychoroid Spectrum, Utilizing Case-based Discussions and Multimodal Imaging Techniques to Illustrate the Diverse Manifestations and Diagnostic Challenges. Participants Will Gain Insights Into Formulating Effective Diagnostic and Treatment Strategies, Ultimately Aiming to Improve Patient Outcomes in Managing Pachychoroid-related Diseases.
Resume
The chief instructor is a young vitreoretinal surgeon with over 75 publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals and a track record of presenting at numerous national and international conferences. He has earned multiple gold medals at AIOS annual meetings and serves as a peer reviewer for several indexed journals. His research focuses on the Pachychoroid Disease Spectrum, and he played a key role in developing the first Indian guidelines for PCV, earning the AIOS-IJO Gold Award for Best Publication (2017-18). He also led the revision of PCV guidelines in 2022.
