Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy Is One of the Major Causes of Treatable Blindness in India, with the Advancement of Newer Surgical Techniques (Bimanual/ 3d ) , Use of Anti-vegf Injections Prior to Surgeries, Use of Intra - Operative Oct, Pfcl, Membrane Peeling Techniques ,The Surgical Outcomes Have Improved Leaps and Bounds .In Order to Achieve Good Anatomical and Functional Outcomes, Meticulous Instrumentation and Surgical Approach Is Required Along with Good Hands On. in This Ic Young Retina Surgeons ( 5-8 Years in Practice) Will Describe Surgical Approaches and Techniques in Diabetic Vitrectomy in Various Case Scenarios to Achieve Good Surgical Outcomes. the Instructors Will Present Case Based Videos( 1-2 Cases) on Different Scenarios Describing and Highlighting Their Techniques Followed by Panel Discussions. the Instruction Course Is Apt for Young Retina Surgeons as Well as Fellows Who Would Want to Improve Their Surgical Skills and Excel in Difficult Case Scenarios.

The chief instructor is currently working as a senior faculty in a tertiary care hospital. He also has a visiting consultant to 3 peripheral centres, where he was able to create a surgical vitreo-retina setup in all 3 over a period of 5 years . He has completed his fellowship in surgical vitreo-retina ( 2015-2017 ) and presented various papers and video presentations in national and international platforms (EURETINA, APAO). He is a passionate vitreo-retinal surgeon with special interest in macular surgeries and diabetic vitrectomy, reviewer to various scientific journals.( AJO, IJO)
