Summary
Ptosis Surgery Is One of the Most Satisfying yet Intriguing Procedures for an Oculoplastic Surgeon. Its Varied Approaches, Nuances, and Challenges Make It a Topic of Daily Discussion. This Course Aims to Cover Every Type of Ptosis Surgery in Current Practice, with Each Speaker Being an Expert in Their Method. After a Basic Overview of Evaluation and Decision-making, Surgical Videos Will Guide Us Through Techniques for Congenital and Acquired Ptosis, Divided Into Anterior and Posterior Approaches. the Anterior Approach Includes Levator Resection; the Workhorse and Most Beloved yet Technically Demanding Surgery; Followed by Frontalis Sling (Fascia-lata and Silastic), the Go-to for Severe Cases, and the Evolving Frontalis-flap Procedure. Posterior Approaches Include Mmcr and Fasanella-servat for Mild Ptosis, and White-line Advancement for Mild to Moderate Cases; an Elegant, Repeatable Technique. Each Speaker Will Also Discuss Complications and How to Manage Them Effectively.

The chief instructor is a consultant Orbit and Oculoplastic surgeon. She has trained from premier institutes such as St. John's medical College and Narayana Nethralaya. She has authored several peer-reviewed publications and book-chapters and has presented at–city, state, national and international level as instructor, invited speaker,presenter and has won many awards for best paper,best video and team events. She is a member of the national and subspecialty societies as well as APSOPRS. She is a reviewer for Orbit, Cureus and is on the editorial board of Delhi Journal of Ophthalmology (DJO).
