SICS Small incision cataract surgery in a Parkinsonism patient with involuntary movements.
Abstract Body:
A 74 years old male patient came complaints of diminished vision in right eye. He was a diagnosed case of Parkinsonism with severe involuntary movements of his limbs and he had head nodding movements too .After completing his blood investigations and getting fitness from the physician and the anaesthetist ,I decided to do his cataract surgery under stand by anaesthesia. It was challenging to make the scleral tunnel, cauterization of superficial vessels ,capsulorrhesix and IOL implantation. We were successful in performing the surgery without any complications .The patient was discharged with 6/12 vision .
