DOUBLE RINGS TO PREVENT SINK
Abstract Body:
cataract surgery in a Subluxated cataract , extending from 4 to 7 o clock positions - A 40 yrs male came to our OPD for Left Eye Drop of vision and occasional on and off pain , No History of Trauma , clinically OD 6/6P, N6 , OS 6/12P, N8 – Inferior zonular dialysis and NSI with PSC .A phaco with two CTR with was done under LA, Rhexis was really challenging as crystalline lens was tumbling but managed it . 3 capsular hooks were used to prevent further zonular dialysis and phaco completed but bag was unstable so 2 CTR Rings were used one nasal side one temporally thus both encroaching each other and stabilize the bag .A multi-pice IOL was placed and controlled Ant. vitrectomy done.Immediate post of was uneventful and BCVA 6/9, n6 post op and maintained it OVER YEARS In inferior zonular dialysis Two CTR rings can be used to stabilize the IOL , Probably this is the fist case report of using 2 rings for same patient to stabilize the IOL- It’s the surgical Pearl of my presentation
