Triple procedure - Tackling Tear, Trough and Tremulous Lens
Abstract Body:
Purpose: To demonstrate the surgical management of a complex post-traumatic eye with traumatic cataract, iridodialysis, and cyclodialysis cleft using a single-stage combined procedure. Methods:A 45-yr-old female presenting with blunt trauma to the right eye with traumatic cataract, 3 clock hours of iridodialysis, and 3 clock hours of cyclodialysis cleft with persistent hypotony. lensectomy was performed using a cutter. Iridodialysis and cyclodialysis cleft repair were carried out using the railroad technique . SFIOL implantation was done using the Gabor technique. Results:POD 1, the patient achieved a BCVA of 6/15 with IOP of 25 mmHg. The pupil was round. AS-OCT confirmed closure of the cyclodialysis cleft and iridodialysis. Conclusion:Carefully planned sequential management of multiple traumatic pathologies in a single procedure can provide good structural restoration, stable IOL fixation, and satisfactory early visual recovery in complex ocular trauma cases.
