Navigating through complex orbital & lacrimal procedures with aid of GPS-based navigation technology
Summary
By providing live trajectory guided intraoperative navigation, GPS technology allows for the execution of precise orbital and lacrimal surgery, maximising results and minimising complications. It prevents harm to important structures, particularly at the complex orbital apex, and aids in the identification of bone and vascular markers. The course aims to educate those involved on the use of GPS technology for real-time navigation guided surgical procedures. This will be achieved through case studies and video demonstrations that highlight the significance of precise location, real-time surgical monitoring, and customised reconstruction in enhancing safety during intricate orbital, apical, and lacrimal procedures. The presenters in this course will cover endoscopic lacrimal surgery, complex orbital trauma and tumour surgery, and the use of GPS technology in these procedures.

Chief instructor is a senior oculoplastic surgeon and post graduate teacher for over 22 years with keen interest in Ophthalmic education. The chief instructor has participated in over 250 instruction courses, symposia, current concept programs and has performed live surgery in many International and National meetings. Moreover, has authored 22 textbook chapters, published 125 papers and received more than 50 awards and named orations globally. The chief instructor has been elected to executive councils of several International and National professional and specialty organizations.
