Summary
There are many situations - both intra operative and postoperative - in which going gets extremely tough for a cataract surgeon. These situations include intraoperative rock hard eye, misbehaving iris, IOL damage, IOL getting stuck in the plunger, wound related problems, severe striate keratopathy , post operative inflammation, endophthalmitis, uncooperative patient, IOL calculation errors, unexplained poor visual recovery , unsatisfied patient despite excellent visual recovery. Our instruction course will discuss the most effective techniques to handle these situations and steps to be taken to prevent them

The chief instructor is one of the highest volume cataract surgeons in India performing 700-800 phacoemulsification surgeries every month. He has been regularly presenting papers and conducting instruction courses at the state and national levels. The chief instructor of this instruction course has been regularly conducting annual CME programs for the past 20 years and has organized two of the Annual State Conferences for his State Ophthalmic Society. He is also involved in surgical training programs in his institution.
