Summary
Keratoconus is a mysterious disease and there is a lot of confusion in the minds of people in terms of decision making in its management. The course will aim at sorting out all the queries that come to the minds of the clinicians. Queries like when to do CXL, whether CXL can be done in a particular case, how to handle thin corneas, whether oxygen supplementation is useful, choice between conventional or accelerated, whether Contact lens should be used, when and how intracorneal ring segment works, when to do keratoplasty and which type of graft will be discussed. Achieving optimal outcome while performing cataract surgeries with accurate IOL power calculation will be discussed. All these will be discussed in the form of answers to queries with active participation of the panellists and the audience.

The chief instructor is presently working as Professor of Ophthalmology in a tertiary care centre in the country. He has 376 publications to his name; 176 in indexed journals; 122 in non-indexed journals and 78 chapters in various textbooks and Three textbooks to his name. Has an experience of nearly 25 years in the field of Keratoconus and its management. He has been performing and teaching techniques of transplants and crosslinking. He has been a part of multiple instruction courses related to this subject at international meetings and has multiple publications in this field.
