Summary
Though nasolacrimal duct obstruction is the commonest cause of tearing, punctum and canalicular pathology also play a crucial role. This video-based course will cover topics including indications, different operative techniques, probable complications, newer aetiologies, and advancement in this field. This course will outline the different procedures with a detailed step-by-step demonstration of surgical techniques by using operative videos and photographs along with highlighting some hidden and commonly overlooked causes. At the conclusion of the course, the attendees will be able to make an update with evidence-based knowledge on Lacrimal drainage disorders including newer dimensions of aetiologies.

The chief instructor did DO, and DNB also did his PhD in the topic of Paediatric Oncology. His field of interest is Oculoplasty, Neuro-ophthalmology and Ophthalmic Trauma services. He is a recipient of 12 awards including Best Video at the World Congress of Ocular Trauma, E T Selvam etc. He published more than 40 articles in international and national journals and delivered more than 200 lectures as a Faculty. He has participated as a Chief Instructor in various conferences including AAO. He is the author of two book chapters.
