Title
Tackling capsular Tears head -on : Video Odyssey
Summary
Video-based course, interspersed with interactions, will highlight the challenges associated with both anterior and posterior capsular tears. Videos will emphasize the management strategies for anterior capsular tears using safe phacoemulsification techniques and flap motility sign. Videos will show signs of posterior capsule rupture (PCR), immediate maneuvers, vitrectomy approach, PCR occurrence and management strategies during hydrodissection, nuclear emulsification, cortex removal, posterior capsule polishing, and IOL implantation, capsular tears in FLACS, optimal use of fluidics, posterior capsulorhexis pearls, IOL scaffolding, conversion to MSICS , pre-existing PCR in posterior polar cataracts, and iatrogenic tears following anti-VEGF injections and VR surgery. Videos will depict strategies for different IOLs, including premium IOLs in the presence of capsular tears, indications for secondary IOL in the presence of PCR, and management of a decentered IOL with PCR.
